Privacy. The short version: we don't track you.

No cookies, no analytics, no ads. Fonts, images and videos come from this site, not from other companies. The only personal data we ask for is your email, and only if you sign up.

Who we are

This website is run by TODO: legal name of the company or person behind Arctaur, TODO: postal address, CVR TODO: CVR number (“Arctaur”, “we”). If you have a question about your data, write to hello@arctaur.com.

When you sign up for a beta or for Orbis news

We collect your email address, what you picked (the Ariadne beta, Orbis on Steam, or both), the page you signed up on, and the time.

  • Why: to invite you to the betas you picked, or to tell you when Orbis can be wishlisted on Steam. Nothing else. No newsletter unless you ask for one.
  • Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us, and we'll delete your sign-up.
  • Who handles it: our host, Netlify, receives and stores sign-ups for us and checks them for spam. Netlify is based in the United States, so your sign-up may be stored there; it processes the data on our behalf, under its data processing agreement and safeguards for transfers out of the EU.
  • How long: until the sign-up has done its job, that is once we've invited you, told you Orbis is on Steam, or you ask us to remove you. We go through the list at least once a year and delete what we no longer need.
  • Never: we don't sell your email or share it with anyone else.

When you just visit

Like any website, our host keeps short technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don't use them to follow you, build profiles or measure you, and this site sets no cookies.

Our apps and games

This page covers the website only. Oplys and Kallus take beta sign-ups on their own sites, oplys.me and getkallus.com, and their own privacy terms apply there. Ariadne and Orbis come with their own terms when you can use them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or withdraw your consent. Write to hello@arctaur.com. If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or the authority where you live.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects what you signed up for, we'll write to you first.
